Générescence - Big vase
Générescence - Big vase
_
The Générescence project blurs the lines between alive and inert by creating a dialogue between a vase and a growing plant.
It allows us to witness the process of growth from roots to stems and highlight parts of the plant we are not used to seeing. The object changes shape and evolve with time.
Set up :
These vases are designed to grow bulbs above water. This process is called bulb forcing: prepare the bulbs by putting them in the fridge for a few weeks, then just place them above water and wait for them to grow. The roots, stems and flowers will develop, fully fed by the bulb.
This size of vase is to grow Amaryllis bulbs.
The vases can also be used to root plant cuttings or simply display flowers. It is all about highlighting all the parts of a plant and making us more aware of their hidden beauty.
