I worked with bulb plant species which can grow with just a little water (hyacinths, narcissus, amaryllis...). This process is called «bulbs forcing». It was particularly trendy during the 17th century because the flowers could blossom during winter.
These devices aim to create an interdependency between object
and plant. Each one relies on the other to be. The plant is part of the object and makes it grow, change, evolve. The object highlight and magnify parts of the plant for us to contemplate : the roots and the sprouts.
Instructions :
Put the bulb in the device to maintain it above water. Place the cap back and just wait.
